Texas-quarried building stone

Lueders Natural Chop
in Dallas–Fort Worth

Chopped building stone with a natural split face — for walls and veneer.

"The classic Texas building stone — chopped, cream-buff, quarried close."

Natural chop is Lueders limestone cut into rectangular building units with a natural, hand-split face. It's the workhorse behind so much of the traditional Texas look — stone veneer, garden and retaining walls, columns, mailboxes, and fireplace surrounds — in the same warm cream-buff as our flagstone.

Because it's Texas-quarried, DFW is our shortest lane: low freight, local pickup, and steady supply for larger masonry projects across Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, and Southlake. Sold by the pallet or ton; we'll help you estimate coverage for your wall.

Best uses in DFW

Where it shines here.

Natural chop is the default choice for the traditional Texas masonry you see across DFW — stone-veneered exteriors, seat and retaining walls, entry columns, and fireplace surrounds. The natural split face gives depth and shadow that reads authentically hand-laid rather than manufactured.

It pairs cleanly with Lueders flagstone caps and coping for a single-material project, or with Pennsylvania bluestone for a two-tone look. Being quarried locally, it's the practical pick for the larger stone volumes a full-house veneer or long wall demands.

Why natural chop

A Texas building block.

Authentic split face

The hand-split natural face carries real texture and shadow line — the traditional Texas stonework look, not a cast veneer.

One material, many elements

Walls, columns, veneer, and fireplace surrounds all in the same cream-buff Lueders, so a project reads as one cohesive material.

Quarried close

Texas-quarried means lower freight and reliable supply for the larger volumes masonry work needs, plus local pickup at the yard.
